ALERT: CALIFORNIA'S PROPOSITION 19

Proposition 19 takes effect on February 16, 2021.  Deeds for real property transfers occurring on or after that date may be subject to a reassessment of property taxes.  Parents and grandparents who plan to have their children or grandchildren inherit their real property should consider making a transfer prior to the deadline in order for those children/grandchildren to inherit the properties' existing low property tax basis.  Please contact David A. Nearon APLC as soon as possible to discuss a transfer of real property you wish to complete before February 16, 2021.
